Originally from Wallaceburg, Ontario, Laur developed his love for music at a young age. His artistic talent reflects his passion to make music "that people can connect to." As a self-taught guitarist, vocalist and song writer, Laur strives for a musical sound which is raw, unique and reflective of his creativity. His songs are comprised of sharply detailed and emotionally charged lyrics that are influenced by his personal history. Laur spent 2014 in the studio preparing his debut album, "Transit Love", slated for release in late spring 2015. His album is a story about his coming of age, in life, through love. The influence of his album stems from his first relationship upon his arrival in Toronto, which he describes as a "sad, slow time of my life, and as a song writer I like to think it was worthy to be able to put together on an album, to get this story out as one." Together with completing his first album, Laur played at some of the largest venues of his career including: the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts, Sean O'Sullivan Theatre, Flato Markham Theatre, Imperial Theatre, The Mod Club, and The Legendary Horseshoe Tavern. Laur states he "was taught one thing growing up, you play to five people, like you play to five hundred thousand, and play to five hundred thousand like you play to five." This unique philosophy of his art is the reason why his performances captivate audiences.
